How come the exhaust fans are not on in any of the elevators🤢❓
Fantastic news
And _no_ methane explosions! I guess.
About damn time!
Drive around the boom gates at the level crossing run across the tracks between the platform but it not rime but possibly
Please implement this on the A line elevators at Union Station ASAP. Include it in the pilot program.
I very much like this idea because it's simple to implement and practical. It's not a perfect solution, but it will go a long way to improving the environment in some elevators. Thanks.
This is great news. As a regular LA Metro user, I'm very happy to hear this news. I know a 5 year transition timeline has been put out there, but I challenge LA Metro to speed things up to have the in-house security transit department operational by the 2028 Olympics. It makes sense in many ways and will be a great opportunity to help showcase a new unified LA Metro to the rest of the world.
Vermont avenue should be a cut and cover heavy rail extension of the existing metro with California high speed rail from Burbank heading due south in a tunnel and running beneath Vermont heavy rail like Market street in San Francisco with BART running below MUNI. CAHSR would run beneath Vermont heavy rail with one station stop at Vermont and Wilshire and another at Vermont and Sepulveda after which it would turn left and run in a similar cut and cover trench with heavy rail under Katella to Anaheim ARCTIC station.
Sounds morbid but how long do you think it'll be before these new officers get their first kill on a unarmed law-abiding American citizen ?????
Didn’t RTD had in house officers back then why did they remove it
We did an article on its history here: thesource.metro.net/2024/06/25/the-history-of-rtds-and-mtas-in-house-transit-police-force-1978-1997/
They did, but in short Rick Riordan, the mayor at the time made a campaign promise to staff LAPD with 5,000 additional officers but the City didn't have the budget for it. So instead he pushed to find the staff for it by dismantling the transit police and absorbing them into LAPD.
This is a great beautiful station that I've used several times now including going to the Broad. So much better than driving. Thanks.
Why did he snore so aggressively?😂
weird
cringe
bums and vandals will ruin it
sign language is disturbing and awkward
why all black people ? thats racist 😢😢
why black ?
wish everyone could enjoy metro but thanks to homeless and crime i wouldnt
I've taken the LA Metro several times. Most recently to USC and it's been absolutely fine, pleasant even.
lol okay Literally take it every week and it’s been significantly improving. You do you tho.
Subway trains need video screens to help give passengers something to see. The passenger experience is not as civilized as it ought to be. Subway trains are especially awkward public spaces because of the lack of views.
The thumbnail looked like the train had a face
now i know the arts
did you get the urine smell out?
Thats how Stumble from dumb ways to die died
Soooo exciting!!
Stephen Tu, STFU, and give us our routes back! And stop walking away just because I asked you a simple question about Metro Rapid.
Niceeee !!
Another person was murdered in the Metro gold line today. Shot in the head. Why should anyone care about its use or efficiency if it’s not safe
Can metro post more things like day trip to the beach or travel info? Riders don’t wanna see this.
Great idea, now do it on a section of the metro that isnt the regional connector.
how much is the cost of each one
They should do this in New York
I think it is BS
We have that in Seattle I don’t stop nothing. This is a waste of time and money.
I have a better idea, invest in a welfare state like most developed countries 🎉🎉🎉
FYI El Segundo station needs way more attention.
Raccoons approve this message!
How about the area outside the elevators at the northwest portal at Vermont/Sunset? And I'm not talking about the elevators themselves, but the area immediately outside the elevators. In fact, the concrete slabs here are not watertight, so piss often leaks through the floor and drips onto riders' heads below! Extremely unsanitary and disgusting. Please fix this leak immediately.
ITS A REGIONAL CONNECTOR STATION ITS NOT THE SAME
Thanks for pointing that out. These are brand new stations with heavy presence of personnel. Perhaps Mr. Tu can share with us the costs of keeping these stations staffed?
@@erik_griswoldThe B and D line subway stations are well staffed, too. However, they need to do this across the network where It's sensible and practical.
@@mrxman581 Staffed? Not to the level the RC stations are
This is such a smart and simple idea.
It’s the best idea ever. People need to understand that the roads work for NOBODY during rush hour. By metering it then the roads will always be working so you could get across LA in 45 minutes instead of 5 hours! If you can’t afford it then grab dinner after work or hang out at a park until the rate decreases. And you’ll still get home faster without spending half your evening sitting in traffic! It’s such an obvious thing if you understand economics. The haters of this program aren’t thinking it through. The money that is raised can be allocated for better roads public transit etc to give even more affordable transit options than what exists today. if you think it’s because the metro is greedy it’s really shortsighted. If there is waste at the metro that’s a separate issue. This is a great idea for giving everyone the option to get across LA in 45 minutes 24/7!!
everytime your tram has to stop for traffic it hurts my soul. You could spend the big bucks on expensive tunneled sections, but could not grade separate your above grounds sections??? pathetic.
Love how you used Metro sounds as Censor sounds😂
The ESFV line should be above-grade the entire route. Also, the valley needs way more than just one light rail line. There should at least be five
And a light rail line that has not a single grade separation at that. Billions of dollars to save 7 minutes is laughable.
LA Metro has included artwork at its stations from day one. It's always been an intrinsic aspect of the station design. In fact, many of the subway stations have artwork embedded within the station infrastructure.
❤
Very satisfying to see this done.
..👌..
Choosing monorail would be a boondoggle of unprecedented proportions. All of the monorail proposals should be removed from consideration and efforts should be focused on heavy rail, which is infinitely better in terms of capacity, speed, reliability. The people of Los Angeles have spoken loud and clear: NO MONORAIL
